Yaarl Hostels - Jaffna

The room was spacious and had all the amenities we needed, including a TV and an iron. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it convenient for us to prepare our own meals. The location of the hostel was great, as it was close to the bus station and within a reasonable distance to the train station.

That the staff were not always available when we needed assistance. Additionally, it would have been helpful if they had informed us in advance about the gate being locked at 10pm, as this caused some inconvenience.

Great value for the price, spacious and clean rooms with a comfortable bed and good shower. Convenient location near the bus station and market. Friendly and helpful staff, and a surprising bonus of a fully equipped modern gym.

Breakfast selection could be better organized.

The accommodation was conveniently located near transportation options and attractions. The rooms were comfortable with personal power points and fans. The staff were friendly and accommodating, providing helpful information and allowing early check-ins. Breakfast was provided, offering a decent selection of bread, jam, eggs, fruit. Additionally, guests could rent bikes and scooters for a good price.

The cleanliness of the hostel could have been better.

Unbelievable location in the heart of the city, short walk from Bus Station, close to Train Station. Awesome and helpful staff. Self-made breakfast to meet new people. Access to a fridge. Best free gym in Sri Lanka. Comfortable beds. Assistance in organizing reasonably priced tours with local Tamil Tuk Tuk drivers.

The location of Yaarl Hostels was unbeatable, just a few minutes' walk from the main bus station. The room we stayed in was clean and equipped with everything we needed, including towels and sheets. The breakfast provided was awesome, it was delicious and more than enough for two people. We were also actually surprised to find out that the hotel offers vehicle rentals, so we were able to hire a motorcycle for a reasonable price.

The hostel is conveniently located near the main bus and train stations, making it easy to access. the spacious rooms are equipped with towels and sheets, providing a comfortable stay. the friendly and helpful staff ensure a pleasant experience. there is a Cargills Foodcity nearby, making it convenient to buy essentials.

The breakfast provided is not exceptional and could be improved, with limited options for beverages and spreads.

The location was perfect - just minutes away from the main bus station and a short tuktuk ride from the train station. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, including the washrooms. We were provided with towels and sheets as needed, making our stay comfortable. The receptionist was friendly and offered great travel tips for exploring the area. Despite a few minor inconveniences like the WiFi not being the best and the lack of a gym access, the overall value for money was excellent. We would definitely recommend this hostel for anyone visiting Jaffna.

Aspects we liked about our xmas stay were the spacious two-bed bedroom that we booked and the delicious and abundant breakfast that exceeded our expectations. the room was very spacious and equipped with all the necessary items, including a clean bathroom with hot water. the location of the hotel was central, making it easy for us to explore the city and its attractions.

The cleanliness of the hotel fell short of our expectations. There was a lot of dust on the bed, which we had to clean ourselves, and the water pressure in the bathroom was extremely low, making it difficult to wash off soap.

The location was perfect, just minutes away from the bus station and central market. The spacious and clean dorms provided a comfortable and pleasant sleeping experience. The kitchen area was a great place to meet fellow travelers and share stories. The reception staff were friendly and offered valuable advice for exploring Jaffna. I was actually surprised to find a luxury gym that was free to use. I had a great experience at this hostel and would definitely recommend it to others.

Although I had a wonderful stay, I did notice a couple of drawbacks. One improvement would be for the hostel to arrange group activities and trips.

I stayed at Yaarl Hostels for one night and had a wonderful experience. The hostel is one of the few in the area and it was great to meet other travelers during breakfast, which is included in the price. The staff, though their English was limited, were helpful. The beds were comfortable and the fan provided a nice breeze. The overall service was amazing, especially considering the budget-friendly price. The receptionist allowed me to check-in early and even provided an extra breakfast. The hostel was accommodating, allowing me to hang around until my bus departure and even shower before leaving. The atmosphere was pleasant and they offered bike rentals at an attractive price. The location was also convenient, close to everything.

Totally recommend this hotel.
